Stanley Lawrence Edwards, Senior Partner
Stanley has 15 years of experience in organic inspection, technical review and training. His expertise in organic food production, handling methods and international organic standards has been honed through his work as an organic inspector and application reviewer for several of the leading USDA accredited organic certifying agencies.
In addition to his work, Stanley has strongly supported the professional development of inspectors. He served as vice-chair and board member of the International Organic Inspectors Association (IOIA) from 1999-2003 and is a frequent trainer for IOIA courses. Stan also conducts training sessions for clients on a variety of subjects supporting organic certification from streamlining documentation systems to developing internal audit programs.
Stanley has a Bachelor’s of Science in International Agronomy and minor in Human Nutrition from Colorado State University. He enhanced his academic background with work on a variety of organic farms ranging from a biodynamic produce operation to a grain and livestock ranch. After graduating, he immersed himself in organic certification through numerous IOIA trainings covering a wide range of operations including farms, processors, livestock, grower groups, and dairies. His training extends beyond organic certification to include ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
Born and raised in Chamonix Mt Blanc, France, Stan is a fluent speaker and writer. Stan is also well-versed international organic standards in the EU, Canada and the Japan Agricultural Standard (JAS).
